Learning to let go is perhaps one of the hardest lessons in life

The long and winding road filled with ups and downs, trapped with obsessions or drifting with the flow, means that real freedom often seems out of reach. Deeply ingrained memories with emotions are mixed, and the faces of human nature are often unlimited and diverse. This recalls the immersive installation work of contemporary artist, Tsang Kin-Wah, who seemingly depicts a series of codes in a multi-dimensional setting. By fusing together illustrations and prose, spreading erratically in multiple directions, his art reveals an inextinguishable inner world to form a unique creative universe.

Says Tsang, "I see my work as consolidations, periodical conclusions and presentations of some of my thoughts and ideas in different periods of time. They are parts of me that have passed." Will this path of constantly making choices, letting go and self-discovery eventually lead one home? The artist reflects, “I guess there are many layers to my inner world, some are revealed to me while some are still being hidden or blocked whether I admit it or not. So even when I am trying to show some of my inner world through my works, it is still difficult to say whether it is real or fake or both. Maybe I don’t know much about myself.”

At the end of the day, how many of us can claim to fully understand every aspect of ourselves? What we can do is commit to an endless journey of self-exploration, constantly reflecting and evolving naturally, to live the life we are destined for.
