Their latest Utilitarian Living collection is no exception – named aptly as a functional expression of how we interact with our surroundings, they include furniture pieces, home objects, and skincare goods. Intimately linked to both form and use, objects take on a profound purpose and significance, enhancing everyday living through their inherent materiality and craftsmanship. The passage of time creates strong connections between our sense of self and the objects we engage with. This connection furthers our sentiment with them — finding beauty in new scratches, markings, and shapes that reflect our lives. A concept that sharply contrasts today’s themes of seasonality, newness, and exaggerated ornamentation, Utilitarian Living represents a stripped-back aesthetic that’s true to human nature. 

Product highlights include the following: the Tasca Stool, which complements FRAMA’s recently released Tasca Chair. Inspired by the local Portuguese taverns called tascas, the item makes for a lightweight and functional addition to spaces celebrating the distinctive qualities of aluminium. Meanwhile, exploring fluid lines and featuring a sculptural shape, the Pond coffee table and side table represent a new, organic addition to the brand’s permanent collection. Introduced as a natural extension to The Farmhouse Series, these new items present the iconic, wavy, and uniquely sculptural pond design into a more contained dimension. The Pond Object is a sculptural piece featuring an organic shape with fluid lines. As wall mounted artwork, this solid spruce radiates a symbolic and totemic power. In addition, Rivet Cart, a laser-cut, raw aluminum storage item on bright orange wheels, is an elegant and versatile addition to FRAMA’s Rivet Series. This easy-to- transport mobile cart features a tray-top with two open shelves below, combining traditional furniture craftsmanship and modern industrial production. Due to its sturdy construction, this timeless piece can be used as a table, storage unit, pedestal for display, or a combination of all three.
