Harmonious and tranquil gardens have always possessed irresistible charm; the colourways, materials and lines derived fromnature connote lyrical spaces, prompting one to slow down, absorb the surroundings, enjoy life at a slower rhythm and provide much needed breathing space. Drawing inspiration from the Art Deco movement and cultivated Zen gardens in Kyoto, architect André Fu reveals a synergy between the two visually contrasting concepts, dedicating his eponymous brand, André Fu Living, to the theme of 'Art Deco Garden'.
A selection of delicately crafted objects and homeware for the collection showcase this through a collaboration with legendary brand, de Gournay, where highly skilled artisans have encapsulated Fu’s imagination of a Zen garden infused with Art Deco silhouettes.
The murals are available in three types of silk paper - silver blue, terra brown and champagne beige, where each panel is individually hand-painted and garnished with gold and silver gilding. These panels are seen throughout the furniture designs, from feature screens and bedside tables to shoe cabinets – each handmade in solid pinewood, displaying a strong expression of texture.
There are also armchair and dining chair designs upholstered in fine fabrics by Loro Piana to accentuate a sense of refinement, as well as porcelain tableware and bedding, all of which intertwine the intricacies and the poetry of life.
