Founded in 2008 by Johannes Karlström and Cristiano Pigazzini, Note is a Stockholm-based design studio working across the fields of architecture, interiors, products, graphic design and design strategy. Now comprising a large and varied team of designers, Note has grown to become one of the most internationally admired names in Scandinavian design, working with a wide range of international design brands and winning a steady stream of design awards.
Note recently headed the design of Neko Health, a Swedish health-tech company co-founded in 2018 by Hjalmar Nilsonne and Daniel Ek. Neko's vision was to create a healthcare system that can help people stay healthy through preventive measures and early detection. This requires completely reimagining the patient's experience and incorporating the latest advances in sensors and AI. Neko has developed a new medical scanning technology concept to make it possible to do broad and non-invasive health data collection that is convenient and affordable for the public.
The design of the room features a combination of painted pale yellow and dark green high-gloss surfaces, traditionally not used in healthcare environments, brushed metal, and diffused reeded glass with the ambition to create a sense of a futuristic setting yet focusing on the human aspects – to make the members feel inspired, intrigued and secure in the same time.
“Our goal was to make the diagnostic experience inspiring and enjoyable, something that people would like to do repeatedly,” says a representative from Note. “This design, combined with Neko Health’s AI technology, will change the way healthcare diagnostics are performed.”
The technology, developed over four years, utilizes the latest advancements in sensors and AI and has been the subject of multiple clinical studies to show its efficacy. This launch marks the beginning of Neko Health’s journey to create a healthcare system that can help people stay healthy through preventive measures and early detection.
